This week I’ve been curating for the @0xMQQ Intern Program! It brought back that feeling of fun I had when I first started minting NFTs. I absolutely love the idea of different people applying their own vision to collecting in this format.
My choices were driven mostly by what I personally love aesthetically and what I believe in. Some of the collections I'll be posting are, in my opinion, deeply underrated.
Let's start with @didopynell works. His debut collection SolfusSisters0 is a perfect example of what first fascinated me about this type of art “online”. For me it felt different from everything else out there.
Solfis is one of my favorite PFP collections aot. Cute Solfus girls reimagined as pixelated portraits, collage mixed with ai. Take care of your sisters!🤍
The last of dido's work I want to highlight is Runway Show, fashion photography and paintings generated with custom models🖋️
Mi Note 2 by @639_yomme with new pieces added on-chain every day. True beauty of commitment to craft.🥺
I also adore the paper lines to remind us that it’s “raw”. All of the Mi Note’s I’ve seen so far have this untouchable sense of melancholy, perhaps?, with these vulnerable eyes, water color strokes as if someone cried over the paper.
Gotta show some love for Planet Peppa by @ihateguppy & @1_2_sl333p I adore these grainy collages. There is something about the style they both created that, even though the collection was made digitally, it feels hand crafted🤍 Minting on @vvvdotso !!
Record of Hyperwar by @playerfellers Ancient wisdom, Secrets of Hyperwar Revealed‼️📜 Swag
Death in pixels in PRAY4LOWBIE by @archivepilled These remind me of theatrical staging. Every scene is a tiny stage play. They’ve perfectly arranged the candles, the cross, the casket, and the floor tile pattern (which is absolutely wild in the open casket piece!)
Like a doll house but the doll is a slightly too shiny wooden coffin💭
Cards nft by @bis__cut, classic pick, but timeless for sure. Since for a lot of people, their first true collectible addiction was a trading card game, this collection’s aesthetic taps into that core collector DNA👾
One more @bis__cut collection Milady Aura2: After Death It’s literally in the name, the collection has too much aura. I simply cannot not love these ghostly little characters
I’ll be wrapping this haul up with the most recent collection on my list - Heavy Liquid Graphic, collaboration between @bis__cut and @CreamyDreamy. Heavy
I am nominating @didopynell for next week’s intern curation! Thank you to @0xMQQ for the opportunity❤️ And thank you @blumegarden for the nomination❤️
