For my internship, I decided to curate around the idea of Angels and Devils, fit because of it being Halloween week, and my multi-month-spanning addiction to The Binding of Isaac. ↓🧵

In Isaac, if you don’t get hit when unprotected by Soul Hearts or Black Hearts, you have the chance of spawning an Angel Deal or a Devil Deal.
For my internship, I have bought pieces based on whether they look to be rooms for Angels and Devils, and whether the characters in the pieces look to be Angels or Devils.
I also split my 6.9 sol equally across 3 chains: SOL, ETH & Tezos. This felt like the perfect opportunity to grab some stuff on Tezos & explore the ecosystem properly for the first time, as I’ve been meaning to for a while.
Without further adieu….
We’re going to start on Tezos. If I get to heaven, I hope to be greeted by Sabato’s (@sabatobox) Snow Bunnies on arrival. I imagine Heaven here as liquid swirls, snow too soft to touch. Bunnies bounce freely, guiding you to the Next Place. I want to live here. Maybe one day I will.
Sabato also presents two rooms that I see as devil rooms, but they’re not places I wouldn’t want to stay in, at least for a little bit. In fact, I’ve been to the first one. A hangover so bad you pray to God for salvation. I think I will visit here again, but I am trying to be better.
The ‘Degen Lair’, by name, is my worst nightmare. However, there is a strange comfort here, with stained glass windows simulating for you the gamer glow of LED strip lights, the familiar red candles, 4 clocks all telling you the same time. Its an image of hell as groundhog day. A realistic still life of the traders room.
nohygiene’s (@no_hygiene) angels are one of the early pieces I saw by someone outside of my avant/gay bubble that I became obsessed with. There’s something about them that makes them seem as if they were literally born out of a computer, and I think the 4 I picked up here (2 Angels, 2 Rooms) are examples of that. They summon an early internet aesthetic, while using much more modern means (MidJourney).
I'm actually a dog person, but I think Lorna Mills (@lm_netwebs) Dog is far more devillish than this poor cat. 'Pusspull' and 'Montreal Splash' (which I like to imagine is the dogs name) are very funny to me, as is most of Mills' work.
Alternative universe where Angels and Devils are Cats and Dogs in varying states of Weirdness. There must be a film about this (?)
I really like Ryab's (@_ryab666) works on SOL that I've seen, so it's super nice to collect some on Tezos.
I like the idea of these as abstract rooms, or wallpapers that line them. The titles of the pieces also help this, such as 'void', 'space between', 'return'.
A lot of the Tez works I collected seem to be dealing with a sort of dystopic, alien worshipping future. The alien technology we worship in these pieces by figmentz already exists: Servers that House Tezos, and of course, The TezPole, which is the best thing I found out from my spaces interview with Sabato and Kika.
One of my earliest experiments with internet art was datamoshing when I was like 14. I never got anything nearly as interesting as these works by DV Ghost (@DV_gh0st) though.
The car as Room, the crash test dummies as Angels, angels for they sacrifice themselves for our health and safety, for our protection. The sky as Room, the eagles circling as Biblically Accurate Angels, rendered in all their fragmented intensity.
“We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered.

Where Lorna Mills dog was a little devil, these are the dogs I know: sworn protectors, goofy fellas, Angels with a great sense of humour.

It's about time we bought some time (@ttiimmees) works on Tez. Prolific legend. I want to live in his works.
I like that glitchier works on Tez, as well as the more illustrator ones, seem to always work themselves into a nice abstraction. I am able to attach all the meaning I wish to them. Weirdly, the last image here really looks like my idea of an angel, especially due its wood-engraving quality, as if I would find this image slipped inside a page of a bible somewhere.
I had only seen moeshit's (@moesh1t) recent VVV works, but I am now completely won over by his Tez works.
Angels are Real and he has captured them! Unfortunately one of them seems to be losing to a fire ball... one has turned invisible... and one is looking off the ledge of a cliff, contemplating the fall... who is looking after our angels?
Finally, two pieces that remind me of Wings of Desire (1987). Angels on Earth.

For ETH, I had some easy picks.
Cigawrettes are Angels sent to Ainslie to inhabit a new desert colony and spread the gospel of Pappachaga. All 10,000, sadly, were still no match for His Plan. That final car ride into the sun, the crash on burning asphalt. We will never forget.
MILADY AURA2 AFTER DEATH. Do I need say anymore? My favourite Evil Biscuit (@bis__cut) collection, probably. I want to play an RPG as these guys. I want to live in their world. I have had dreams that felt like they should be by my side there.
Finally, this MiNote makes me very sad. Someone had to save it from the cold, dark corridors of opensea's marketplace...
Saving the best til last, Solana works. I minted 9 Toji A's (which for some insane reason you can still do? Which is fine as I like minting them).
I did 9 so I could attempt to categorise each in the alignment chart.
This collection by @manta_timing is literally called Heaven. And it doesn't get much more Heavenly than that.
In saying that, everything about these, when I actually spend time staring at them, terrifies me.
I feel like owning Solfus has given me some sort of Divine Protection. I am passing some protection over to 0xmqq. Everyone needs an Angel in their Pocket that can be summoned at will.
MiFella Genesis is the epitome of what I'm collection here. You get an angel and a devil on each shoulder, a Mother. You can buy yourself a home. I wish Toji Disc Buddies were real as I really think they would act as angels and devils for our computers.
Last but never least: Squishy Drifters. If I was a Devil doing Devillish things, I know what car I'd pick to do my deeds in.
